Match Report Press Report

Wykeham 4 Lost to Alton Academy 1 in a close match.

With the home team having higher Gradings in 3 of the strings, the match was always going to be in their favour. The away team proved the statisticians wrong though by clinching a great win.

On paper, the number 2 string should have been the closest, with only 15 ranking points separating the two players before the match. The Away player, Riz R Azhar, did well therefore to secure the win.

It was the number 4 String which turned out to be the most competitive, with the Players battling out over a total of 92 Points ! Victory finally going to the Away Player, Andy A Butt.

Player of the match must be the Away number 5 string, Tye T Rath, who over-turned a 1965 ranking points disadvantage to record a great win.
