Match Report Press Report

Winchester 7 Lost to David Lloyd S'ton in a close match.

With the home team having higher Gradings in 4 of the strings, the match was always going to be in their favour. The away team proved the statisticians wrong though by clinching a great win.

On paper, the number 4 string should have been the closest, with only 9 ranking points separating the two players before the match. The Away player, Simon Parnham, did well therefore to secure the win.

It was the number 1 String which turned out to be the most competitive, with the Players battling out over a total of 95 Points ! Victory finally going to the Home Player, Alex Hammond.

Player of the tie was the Away No. 3 string, Ben Maguire, gaining 100 Ranking Points from the match.

Player of the match must be the Away number 3 string, Ben Maguire, who over-turned a 1214 ranking points disadvantage to record a great win.
