Match Report Press Report

Winchester 2 Beat Totton 2.

With the home team having higher Gradings in 5 of the strings, the match was always going to be in their favour. This turned out to be the case with a Home win.

On paper, the number 4 string should have been the closest, with only 62 ranking points separating the two players before the match. Home advantage prevailed though, with Phil Ashman winning through.

It was the number 3 String which turned out to be the most competitive, with the Players battling out over a total of 74 Points ! Victory finally going to the Home Player, Jez Carter.

Player of the tie was the Away No. 5 string, Tim Kirk, gaining 100 Ranking Points from the match.

Player of the match must be the Away number 5 string, Tim Kirk, who over-turned a 1211 ranking points disadvantage to record a great win.
