Match Report Press Report

Five Rivers 3 Beat Romsey LC in a close match.

With the away team having higher Gradings in 3 of the strings, Home advantage looked to be needed to take the win. Local knowledge duly defeated the statisticians and the home team came through for a good win.

On paper, the number 2 string should have been the closest, with only 1 ranking points separating the two players before the match. Home advantage prevailed though, with Terry Scott winning through.

It was the number 3 String which turned out to be the most competitive, with the Players battling out over a total of 94 Points ! Victory finally going to the Away Player, Matt Rivers.

Player of the tie was the Away No. 5 string, Jack Maidment, gaining 100 Ranking Points from the match.

Player of the match must be the Away number 5 string, Jack Maidment, who over-turned a 608 ranking points disadvantage to record a great win.
