Match Report Press Report

IOW 3 Lost to Winchester 5.

With the home team having higher Gradings in 3 of the strings, the match was always going to be in their favour. The away team proved the statisticians wrong though by clinching a great win.

On paper, the number 4 string should have been the closest, with only 30 ranking points separating the two players before the match. Home advantage prevailed though, with David Fentum winning through.

It was the number 1 String which turned out to be the most competitive, with the Players battling out over a total of 82 Points ! Victory finally going to the Away Player, Archie Harris.

Player of the tie was the Away No. 1 string, Archie Harris, gaining 100 Ranking Points from the match.

Player of the match must be the Away number 3 string, Dave Chater, who over-turned a 528 ranking points disadvantage to record a great win.
